It was a great day for a Chili Contest! Cool Fall weather set the stage for some GOOD Times at 1st &Main. Halstead was a booming with the start of The Holiday Open House, our Dragon Football team hosted Conway Springs for a State  Play off match and our Chili Cook-Off.

The top prize  of BEST Chili 2008 went to the HOT STUFF team, Kirsten Glassco, Jeff Glassco and Connie Calvin. Not your typical chili with pork as the meat and a nice HOT flavor. Good Job Kirsten Jeff and Connie! Atta Boy! Yeeha!

Living in Kansas, we just have those die hard Oz People that just can't let ToTo go! The People's Choice Chili Award went to  "BAD DORTHY" Katy Coy, Mary & Jeff Lee. To top it off "BAD DORTHY" also won the Best  Theme and Booth Award!  Atta Boy! Yeeha! 

Patrons of the event were able to sample all of the 12 chilis and exchange discussions on the many chili's. " This really turned out to be a great social event for Halstead." Said Corey Harrington Event Director. We had a good turn out and look forward to more events that bring people down town.
